Good morning!

1. Once again, @Datawire takes the week and the power point with 12 correct picks in week 12.

2. @Raleigh PF and @FakePlasticTrees come in right behind him with 11 correct picks.

3. In a four-way tie for third, we have myself, @Mr. Scot, @grimesgoat, and @bigdavis with 10 correct picks.

4. @MHS831, @CRA, @Wyank, and @Cracka McNasty all scored 9 correct picks.

5. @Khyber53 brought home 8 correct picks.

6. Pendleton the Parrot had a rough week scoring only 6 picks. We all beat the bird this week.

7. ...except for @Boxhead85, who logged no picks.

I'll have this week's games posted shortly.

As a reminder, double check your picks each week. Last week, we had another set of picks that didn't pick the winner in one game.

Good luck all!

You know what that bird's actually doing right?

It's a little known fact, birds flying between the earth and sky are associates or messengers of deities. In this particular instance the bird is portraying an ancient dance personifying one of the twelve deity's of victory and success.

Uh huh...

I have a couple that are mates. I've seen them "dance for the deity" every once in a while too :poison:

FYI in the coming weeks, I'll accept pick changes up to an hour in advance of kickoff times. If you need to make a change in your picks, post it as its own post in the thread rather than edit your original pick post.

Thanks!

Get those picks in! Busy football day tomorrow.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
