Unless we plan on tanking he is LT depth the next three years. I don’t see any way we can have him as a starter for such an important position.

None of our QB's will survive if he is LT for the next 3 years.

Serious question.

Who is the last Bama O lineman to make a name in the nfl? I feel like bama has produced a number of lineman busts.

Cam Robinson.

I know that Bama players used to not succeed in the NFL bc Saban burned them out in college. Recently, Bama players have succeeded well:

Julio, Ingram, Cooper, Henry, Ridley, Bozeman, Humphrey, Eddie Jackson, Mack Wilson, Jarran Reed, Ashawn Robinson, Ryan Kelly, Ronnie Harrison, Drake, Minkah, Hightower, Dalvin Tomlinson,  Mosley,  Josh Jacobs, Barron, Rashaan Evans, Collins, Payne, Jonathan Allen

Bama OL do seem to have a high bust rate. Then again, so do USC WRs but Juju looks pretty damn good. So do FSU pass rushers but Burns looks promising.

Rough rookie season continues. How many O line combinations does this make for the season? We need to look for a left tackle yet again this offseason. We cannot depend on Little to last an entire season and play at the level we need

Little is beginning to reek of Jeff Otah.

No one is talking about all positions. Just OL.

And Cam Robinson is an awful example for someone being good. He’s sucked or injured his entire career. Bozeman was a 6th rounder and wouldn’t be considered a bust no matter what. And starting doesn’t playing well. Kelly is legit but that might depend on what you expect from a C at 18 overall.

So that’s one, who took until this year to make his name. Before that. Chris Samuels in 2000.

Now I gotta go see if any the current ones can hold up. Headed to Iron Bowl.

Wisconsin OL guys usually pan out.  I think two went in the first five rounds last draft and we passed them up.  Pretty sure one or two are coming out this draft, but if Hurn-dog is still around, they will be on some other roster.

Wisconsin OL is the reason you should never draft a RB from there---they are awesome, as are many from some other Big 10 schools and Notre Dame.

Funny, but I lack confidence in OL from Alabama.

Agreed. No way we can look at him next season as anything other than depth. 2nd round pick or not he is just not performing, or staying healthy. 2 concussions aside it looks bad and factor that in...we are back on the hunt again for a Gross replacement.

I’ve pointed out before that this dude was a consistent under-performer at the college level in the SEC.

For any GM/coach to believe he would suddenly come into his own at the most elite of levels and actually trade draft capital to move up and get him was the very essence of wish-casting.
