The truth about Christian McCaffrey you won't acknowledge

All true but a good short yardage back can still overcome bad blocking more often than he does, at least for a yard or two.

Like this is the elephant in the room. Bro’s a beast but the cost of our amazing hybrid weapon is that without Cam out there’s no one who can reliably pick up a yard when needed.

This is all I'm saying and people are pooing me and saying I'm a cmc hater lol.

His deep ball is atrocious. He has no arm strength. They’re always weak wobbly floaters. WRs always have to come back to them. It’s not placement, it’s strength.

Normally I’d agree up until this game. He truly had arm strength in his throws this game but the placement was off.

Wait, with everything that went wrong in that game you decided to complain about CMC?

lol

Oh Huddle, you are amaze.

You clear missed the bucs game.. and the others in the montage they clearly that illitraited my point perfectly. As great as he is he is limited when we need 1 tough yard. Failure to acknowledge that means you aren't watching the game or just blinded by homerisms.

to be fair there are threads about Allen too.  The defense gets a pass because it is clearly a team strength ( ; ) ), but gotta rag on our best player for not being superman!

also I don't think it is his fault but yeah.  he is not a great short yardage back with this OL... not that I think anyone would be. lol.

bad offensive line and worse quarterback who doesn't demand respect from safeties

CMC is one of the few things about this team that actually works

I agree with you on McCaffrey.  The offensive line sucks.  Kyle Allen, with a good line, would be many times better than what he is.  I'd give him the team next year.  However, in my most humble of opinion, the coaching is all fkd up.  Coaching is our problem and not just RR.

you can absolutely succeed with Christian McCaffrey in a goal-line situation, but you've got to be smart about how you do it.

Running him like a power back isn't smart.

Umm.. I think your right but it requires to much creativity that we are short on at the moment. You can't just use him like jonathan Stewart or Steven Davis. I m not saying he cant be an option at all down there. But a 4th and we are going to run and they know we are going to run situation isnt ideal for him up the middle at all and it has been proven over and over.

My god how many 4th and 1 situations have we lost and or failed to convert on for us to continue to pretend the issue doesn't exist... outside of that dont get me wrong hes great when he has space and room to work. But let's not pretend this isnt a thing.

He isnt but it doesn't help that our interior oline gets no push.

If you use him like Jonathan Stewart or Stephen Davis, you clearly don't know what you're doing. The smart thing would do to use him the same way you would LaDainian Tomlinson.

Yet somehow despite the fact that we have a coach who's infinitely familiar with LaDainian Tomlinson, we don't do that.

Don't ask me to explain it I'm already analyzed out for the day.

(I will grant that having a better offensive line would make a huge difference)

Stewart didn’t have the greatest o-lines either but his goaline dives were money for the longest.

and I blame coaching more than CMC. He’s not that type of runner, thats fine. Have another back for those situations. Like a CJ Anderson maybe............

    • He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season.  I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would.  I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both.
    • Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from.    The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money.    Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings.
    • Because he won't be here next year, we aren't winning this year and we need to see if Renfrow or Horn can be that guy going forward. If Bryce isn't good enough to do poo without AT we need to find that out this year as well. I'm fine keeping him but his role needs to be slowly reduced throughout the year anyway so we know what we have for the future
