Navy wins a shootout against Houston for its 9th win of the season Saturday.

Carolina Hurricanes win in Florida against the Panthers after losing 2 in a row.

Auburn beats Alabama in the Iron Bowl, taking the Tide out of the playoff picture.

And I'm going all in on the Canes with mini-season tickets......

I might would be a Hurricanes fan if they were in Charlotte.  I'm not pissy about it or anything and Raleigh is fine, Its just hard for me to travel that far for a sport I really dont have a firm grasp of.  Congrats on the tix, tho!

Hockey doesnt really take that long to get a grasp of. The thing that took me the longest was understanding the difference between the two icing calls. Other than that, you should be able to pick up a majority of the rules in a game or 2, except for the rare ones like slewfooting.

I'm the opposite. Sold our PSLs after 17 seasons; one reason was the 4 hour drive to Charlotte.

Raleigh is 45 minutes and I'm home from a 7PM game by 11. Faster game, more action and not every game is a make- or break- the season.

The refs/NFL weren’t going to let us win that game.  That was Peyton’s game before the first kickoff.

Same here, although I don't think this town could support the NBA and NHL.

I'm good with cheap AHL hockey.
