Wow, Scott Brooks of the Brooks restaurant in Charlotte shot and killed this morning while opening.  RIP.  That sucks.

To be fair if the Panthers multi million dollar coaching staff needs my help in evaluating Will Grier, I gotta tell ya fellas, we’re in worse shape than we thought.

Saw that. I'm not actually familiar with the place but apparently a lot of people rave about it.

Always hate to hear when stuff like that happens...

On one hand we know what we have in Allen and need to see with Grier but do we REALLY want to throw him out there given the circumstances? I don't think we'd get a fair assessment.

I know. This "we" stuff, in this case means fans. The people inside that building have seen this guy daily for quite a while. He is in all the meetings.

Scott Turner was supposed to be a huge advocate for taking him. Seems like if he was showing he was ready, they would put him in. Doesn't seem to me there is a lot to gain by putting him in if he isn't ready.

Exactly. This team needs to look at one of these 2 guys being the #2 next season. Team is in a difficult spot looking for both a head coach and a starting QB.

While I know he's may  not be ready to lead the team to a win, I'm more interested in seeing his instincts in full game speed. Does he step into the pocket well? How does he move through progressions? Does he feel ghosts? Does he throw away instead of hanging on too long? Practice is one thing, but game day can give a lot of information we could use, especially headed into such a pivotal offseason.
