I'm not sure what it is about Moore's playing style that causes people to underrate him to the degree they do;  I think people are stuck in another decade where your WR1 needed to be 6'4.

 

I think it's because he's not talkative like a lot of the #1 receivers in NFL history.

btw, does anyone know what happened to Ridley in the game against us?  He's out for the season, but the only thing I heard was "abdominal injury".  Did he rupture his appendix or something?

Moore definitely is a bright spot.  No comparison to Smith yet, until he starts taking passes to the house and big plays which Smitty did a lot.  Yes the QB situation has an effect.  Overall still ... lots of yard, but need more big plays to compare to Smith.

Even during Benjamin's best year, his efficiency was terrible, whereas Moore ranks top in the NFL in efficiency

I don't think Samuel is better, I think he's very different from Moore. We saw yesterday what happened when they get the ball in his hands in non-traditional ways. It's going to take some time to find a way to use him effectively, and work with him as a receiver, but I see promise in both of these guys. I don't think Moore will ever be Smitty, but then again, I don't see anyone else playing the game with a chip on his shoulder the size of Texas the way Smitty did.

Not trying to be negative on Moore but a bunch of his years yesterday came in the 4th qt as garbage yds. I like moore but he’s not really a home run guy. We need to find that guy and we’ll be good for the future.

Been on the bandwagon on this here site since day one.

Him and Smitty are clones indeed. DJ is focusing on the catch and not YAC at for ball security. I think he's starting to get his confidence back. Saw him try for some YAC last game.

What Smitty and DJ have that is so stunning is they break tackles like a running back and can make guys miss after the catch. Same kind of body type and a couple games ago I had a #89 flash back. The game he spinned the ball afterward. If that spiral was tighter I would have sworn it was #89.
