I still don't understand how Rivera kept Shula on for so many years when we had the most dynamic QB in the NFL

We currently have greatness. CMC is literally having one of the greatest RB seasons of all-time. Luke is still the best LB in the game. DJ Moore is a top 5 WR with Kyle fuging Allen at QB.

My heart was doing a thing while reading the first bit.

Then my stomach did another thing after reading the last bit.

Way too much energy wasted on non-essential on-field activities.  Definitely shortened his career.

Yes, helping children and charity definitely shortened his career.

Cams problem is refusal to admit injury, and then waiting too long to get treatment.

Just admit you didn't like his celebrations etc.  It didn't shorten his career...  To be honest there was a time I disliked celebrations from NFL players.  But man, those guys put their bodies on the line day in and day out and if they want to have a bit of fun with the game, I support it now.  And what Cam did off the field should leave no doubt as to his character.  

Perhaps his play style exposed him to more hits but his big injuries weren't really making plays in the open field with the ball in his hands...
