Y'all are gonna like this one, but Justin Herbert = Blaine Gabbert.

One read dink and dunkers with intriguing physical tools.

I don't see that at all, Blaine always had nervous feet, a hitch in his throw, and would panic under pressure. I do not see any of those qualities in Herbert.

If I'm the front office I'm actually taking these last few games seriously and I'm also panicking about Donte Jackson and assuming he's a draft pick that's likely to not work out. Like, I'm that concerned with his play the past few weeks and overall this season. Man don't wanna tackle either. I hope whomever Tepper gets to scout players has an eye for secondary talent bc i think Corner is a major issue and all spots could be upgraded if we're being honest.

I'm honestly surprised he didn't get outright cut recently. Lots of corner depth in this draft, I think he would have to consider Okudah in the first if he drops to us and there isn't a QB or DT there.

I think Okudah would be great.   I am a little concerned we will drop out of the top 10 and reach for a second tier qb due to new coach etc.  Love or Tua... both of whom I am concerned about, for very different reasons.

Good info from the OP. I am really just now getting started on my college knowledge for the draft.  I don't have the time nor patience to ''scout' games on TV all day on Saturdays in the fall.  I typically start during bowl season for various reasons.  Of course all the big names are already out there and are mostly known commodities, but this is where those fringe guys get to shine on national TV and get some tape out there especially from lesser-name programs.

Really hoping the first round pick is somewhere on the Oline or Dline. We need help in the trenches badly.

Im expecting us to hit both sides of the trenches hard and heavy early in the draft unless a QB falls in the 1st

I’m with you 100% on Herbert. I watched several of his games this season, and came away extremely unimpressed (and I really, really wanted to like him).

He very much is a one read quarterback, and he absolutely wilts under pressure. He’s not somebody you want to rely on in big situations.

While he has all the physical attributes you could dream of, he doesn’t have the mental make-up to ever reach his potential, IMO.

So that's two of you now

I don't think any of us here would claim to be professional scouts. We just kind of pick up on what we see as we're watching college games.

I'm often an avid watcher myself. Just not this year.

Potentially still could, though.

Not as much need to do it right now.
