Tepper is clearly focused on MLS soccer and a new stadium and not...

What the hell is he supposed to do right now? Hire some scrub coach because he's available or wait until guys who are actually worth hiring become available after playoffs?

Same with the GM search... Top prospects won't be available until after the draft.

So, hot take guy....what should he be doing?

Consulting with an old priest and a young priest.

Thinking Exorcist?   I like it!!

Said it once before. This team doesn't need a rebuild or a retool or a house cleaning. We need a frigging exorcism, the goal being to drive out anyting that was touched by the spirit of Jerry Richardson.

When he first took over, Tepper got rid of every physical reference to Jerry Richardson inside the stadium. The only thing he wasn't able to remove was the "contractually obligated" statue (that Richardson supposedly never wanted).

It's time to finish the job and get rid of the people that Richardson left in place.

Get that stink out of the building.

What the actual fug is he supposed to do? You guys are laughable with these takes. Let’s see...

1. Can’t make trades. Deadline was weeks ago

2. Can’t sigh free agents. That’s a few months away

3. Why hire a coach? Better candidates will be available after the season.

4. Why fire Hurney? Likely waiting on candidates after the season

5. Cam got hurt. He can’t control that. KK Short got hurt. He can’t control that. Poe got hurt. He can’t control that.

People wanted Ron gone. He’s gone. Wtf are you expecting? You want him down on the field calling plays? Wtf do you expect him to do? So dumb

The Panthers!

Hi Dave, I know you or your cronies are reading this.

It’s painfully obvious that Tepper’s 5 year plan is centered around 2 things:

1) establishing a MLS fan base

and

2) building a new stadium

...building a winning NFL franchise is 3rd in his list. All he cares about is doubling his revenue by adding a second sport.

I said this earlier hes just trying to make money and show off.

This whole debacle has made me realize just how many legitimately dumb people there are out there. Firing Rivera was never supposed to save the team for this season. Firing him was an admission of defeat, giving up on 2019 and looking forward to 2020. If you were watching these last few games expecting a complete turnaround just because Ron got fired, you're a goof.

100% ... some of this fanbase just has no idea what they are talking

What do you expect him to do right now? Let's just please wait after this offseason once he finally chooses his own coaching staff.

Original poster here....

My point should be looked at in regards to a mindset through the lens of an entire offseason(2018) and this season. In other words I felt Teppers silence and failure to make any real changes last season and ultimately early on in this season goes back to my point of where his priorities are. You guys are absolutely right, nothing could have been done in the last few weeks to change where we are today.

Tepper wants to build out his business. He bought the Panthers as a means to also get an MLS team. Getting an MLS team and new stadium will open many additional streams of revenue for him. Panthers winning helps, yes, but is not necessary for the two things he wants to accomplish. He has said this much from the beginning.

Will any of you honestly admit you were  comfortable going into this season with a huge question mark on Cams health and Riveria/Hurney’s inconsistency, and huge gaps in the roster?

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
