Saints Game

Payton confirmed starters will play.

Also, the article mentions this:

"However, there is a quirky reason the question was worth asking: If the Packers win, as expected, it won't actually matter whether the Saints win or lose.

The Saints would still become the No. 2 seed with a loss if Green Bay beats Detroit and the Seahawks (11-4) beat San Francisco. In that scenario, Seattle would win the NFC West and the Saints would win a tiebreaker over Seattle at 12-4.

So that means the only way New Orleans can truly benefit by playing its starters is if the Lions (3-11-1) pull off a major upset over the Packers. As of Wednesday, the Lions are 12.5-point underdogs, according to Caesars Sportsbook."

On top of that, Shaq is out and Moore is in the concussion protocol still, McCoy is also questionable.  Gonna be a fun season finale.

They know they don’t want to go to GB which is where they’ll end up if they get the 3 seed and win.

Oh we’re shaking in our boots about having to play a defense that can’t stop the run (23rd in yards, 21st in TD’s surrendered, 24th in YPC).

Two weeks in a row now we’ve had to listen to those morons babble over each other trying to form one coherent thought between the two of them.

I think the idea is more weather related. A dome team like New Orleans probably doesn't want to play outside, possibly in the snow, in January.

    • Burns quit on his team, full stop. Burns was and continues to be a liability in the run.    JC has never looked this bad before the concussion. He always was a very solid tackler, from what I remember.  I’ll take the overall body of his work over his current down stretch. I’ve never had to question his heart. The FO has royally screwed up roster management in many other deals but retaining Horn continues to be the right move. He will be back to form next season.
    • I get it. I was making a joke that we have zero chance of winning.
    • Did Bryce play bad? Yes. Did the whole offense play bad? Yes.  Was Canales bad with his playcalling? Yes. Now with that being said I don't put this loss solely on Bryce Young. The seahawks are a much more talented team than us and to win in a scenario like that you need some luck which we didn't have that day.  Bryce has shown this year that you can win with him at QB but the problem is that he doesn't have the ability to elevate the rest of the team around him. Bryce was a number 1 overall pick who we traded a haul of assets to get going into the end of his 3rd year the expectations need to be much higher than 54 yards passing.  It's been nice to get some wins this year and have a chance to make the playoffs and Bryce has played a part in that but at some point the front office needs to see that you can't keep giving Bryce a pass for these low production games.
