Are you reading anything into the order of interviews? Just the way the schedules worked or a matter of preference. We're going to be the last ones to talk to McDaniels.

Don't know that yet.

And no, not really. You can look at it as wanting to get first crack at him or being the last one allowing you to top everyone else's pitch.

To the media it's almost a done deal with McDaniels and Cleveland. Definitely the scenario they want.

I was in Waco earlier today, now in Austin. Sports talk was giving the Panthers barely a mention. It was nearly 15 minutes of them talking about the Giants and it basically being a done deal if he wanted the job. Mentioned the Panthers twice during that time. 

 

First time saying Panthers were supposed to interview him sometime today but he hadn't left Mexico yet and they hadnt heard concrete information.

 

Second time was saying maybe the Panthers have a comprehensive offer for him, but mostly either Giants or staying talk.

Confirmed now that McDaniels interview with the Browns is staying on Friday.

Still haven't seen what day he'll interview with us. It was scheduled for Friday but could still be moved.

This is my fear. Bieniemy needs another year or two as a coordinator, especially game time management. At least McDaniels has been there before, if it is Bieniemy it will set us back a year or so. However, if Phillips comes with him, watch out.

I have a feeling it's going to be a tossup between Bienemy and Rhule when it's all said and done. If the Panthers liked his interview then they'd be smart to offer him tonight.
