Coughlin Advising Rhule on Panthers Staff

They probably have to concentrate on getting the coaching staff done first.

I think Rhule is using him for advice on good coaches and maybe other support staff thoughts. Rhule’s smart enough to know the issues with Coughlin and the NFLPA and to stay away from those things. Also highly doubt he joins the Panthers in an official capacity. We have an owner, coach, and GM who are player friendly, they aren’t gonna be convinced to start making weird contract requirements/disputes on players and antagonize a bunch of guys as soon as Rhule walks in the building.

It's fair to wonder if Coughlin's advice increases the chances of Chase Blackburn and Perry Fewell sticking.

It's been confirmed that Blackburn was interviewed. Haven't seen anything on Fewell.

Probably worth remembering that Coughlin fired Fewell in New York.

Interesting that many in here liking this hate Polian who is mega tight with Coughlin.  Solid strategy but it seems Rhule's Giants window is really his only NFL networking slice he has available.  Hoping for the best though!
