Way too expensive for a QB that doesn't necessarily grade 'off the charts'.

How many if the current elite NFL QBs graded off the charts?

If we hire this guy's college passing game coordinator who everyone is raving about and he pounds the table for the guy? That's all I need to know. Stopwatches, radar guns, and draft grades don't win any NFL games.

I came in this thread with a strong hell no but then someone mentioned with cams salary off the books we could have up to $60 million in cap space....thats enough to get a couple good FA when you dont have picks because of trade up for Burrow. Actually makes it a lot more interesting then.

For the record i do think Burrow is a legit franchise QB for a long time.

What grades are you referring to?

I would say guys like Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Kyler Murray, Matt Stafford, etc hit all the checks in the boxes you want to see and are these sure fire things. Joe Burrow does not hit every single tick, and has some things you would have questions about in his transition into the NFL.

Huge Cam fan here, but I’d do it. I’d be willing to give up this years first, next years, and a few more picks from these next two years. It’s hard as hell to find a franchise QB, and if you believe Joe is that guy, then you go and get him. We could build a solid o line with free agency and the remaining draft capital; especially if we have 60 mill to spend
