I don't know about you all, but the current events makes me sick to my stomach.

The retirement of Luke Kuechly has come as a shock to many of you as myself. Some saw it coming. Others broke the news and we didn't believe. (shout out to you Jamos14 for that.)

Honestly its' a huge mixed bag of emotions. I completely support Lukes decision, we all saw what happened to him with the concussions. We all knwo he's an amazing player on and off the field. Honestly I feel ike I'm beating a dead horse but Rivera and his former staff may have screwed a lot of exceptional players out of a Championship in 2015...

Imagine if they'd won that SB....Luke would be riding into the sunset a Champ. Not this moral victory rhetoric that we are all familiar with. He'd be an actual Champ. This guy literally did so much hands on coaching and correcting of the defense and I can't help but think that Rivera failed him in every damn way possible. It honestly makes me despise him a bit. Seeing TD leave last year and now Luke...This defense..what will become of it?

Sorry guys, I am a bit emotional as some of you know I do wear my heart on my sleeve a bit but this just shook me. Sadly we're going to go through more downs on the way up. But this feels like rock bottom.

Change is definitely hard and it came a lot quicker than we most of us thought it would, but that's life in the NFL unless you're the Patriots. This is just the beginning. This team will be going under a complete transition/overhaul. Let's hope the grass will be greener on the other side.

The team that takes the field next year is going to look almost unrecognizable, right down to the coaching staff.

There's going to be a middle linebacker out there trying to live up to the expectations of fans who are used to Luke Kuechly. Don't envy that guy.

Sadly, much like Cam, its been a while since I can remember the Luke we all hold in our minds as Exemplar Luke.  I will always remember that Thanksgiving Day against Dallas... but how long ago has that been?

Rivera broke'em both, Luke and Cam.  He used'em up and moved on with his fancy (inaccurate) nickname and Kentucky Derby hats.

And, if he had been given a chance, Rivera would have broken CMC too.

Sometimes it didn't even come down to talent with Rivera it was scheme. If he had  the awareness to make changes sooner and get more hands on we would have more success. But he wasnt embracing of change and didnt want to demote his buddies. Since he has been fired he has been parading as if nothing was his fault, thats why rivera can fuging kick rocks to me. fug him.

I have been dreading a day like this for years where we would have to see our cornerstone players walk away empty handed. They were robbed of better coaching.

Dear God... I wanted Rivera gone as much as the next guy, but this constant and growing narrative that he ruined or wasted Cam and now Luke is a bit ridiculous.. First of all it's extremely vague... what do you mean Ruined? Luke literally had a hall of fame career with RR, how did ruin or use him up? This is football. People get hurt. Cam, Luke, everyone. It's the game... Is this all because he didnt win a ring...? So if a hall of fame player doesnt win a ring that means his coach ruined him? Underacheived? Absolutely. But some of yall make it seem like RR put voodoo dolls inside their lockers to destroy them.

They only give 1 of those suberbowls out per year...not getting one doesnt mean your talent was wasted or ruined. It's hard to win one. RR couldnt get the job done.. goodbye, on to the next, but it doesnt mean the guy destroyed their careers. It's just a very weird perspective...  " He had two hall of fame level talents." So has a lot of coaches that havent won it all.

    • "If only Bryce were <height>", he'd <insert stupid thing here>" was the bit and in direct response to multiple posters ridiculously blaming Bryce (and only Bryce) for the punt returns vs. New England. :3 I understand that folks desire balance, hence the "Bryce stans vs. Bryce haters" narrative but it's abundantly clear that the only people going into threads just to talk about Bryce are the haters. Meanwhile, daring to disagree that Bryce was completely at fault for something that happened on special teams gets the "stan" label. Shoot, I'm sure folks lump me in as a Bryce stan (Brycen stan? Absolutely. Bryce stan? Nah) just because I have the audacity to look at what the rest of the team is and isn't doing. 😛
    • PJ Walker is the only QB in the Tepper era the Panthers managed to find wins with.  Only QB w/ a winning record.    PJ had success in pro ball before the Panthers.  He he had NFL tools.    He just is consistent and unreliable.  PJ Walker is what you call a bad/poor man's gunslinger.  He can provide highs and lows both virtually guaranteed.  He is NFL depth.  Bryce Young hasn't proven to improve a teams chances of winning better than the PJ Walker tier of QBing. PJ Walker can do things Bryce Young can't......and that a problem
    • There isn’t but the thing is the team/system/staff around the QB ultimately dictates how successful that QB can be. You have Baker getting released midseason here vs playing like a MVP on another team. Darnold on the Jets/Panthers vs Vikings/Seahawks. Geno Smith on the Jets vs the Seahawks vs the Raiders. Mac Jones is looking as good as Purdy on the 49ers. You have to build a roster, culture, and system for these guys.  Obviously the QB has to be the leader and help elevate the team, but we are seeing what moving a “bad” QB to a stable franchise looks like. Daniel Jones might be doing the same but it’s too early to tell.
