I always thought Beason was great. I hated things didn't work out for him here and was surprised he couldn't find more success with the Giants.

LB is one of the worst positions to play for longevity.  I never thought Luke was going to retire yet.  Some people thought his down Year was due to the 3-4, Luke must have felt it was his body just couldn’t do this at 110% any longer and that was the reason for the off year.  I hate it for him more than us, he’s gonna have to find a new passion and that can be tough.

Yeah, I think he's definitely got a future in coaching if he wants it.  On camera analysis is probably also easily an option on the table if he wanted to go in that direction, but you definitely get the sense from the video that he was making a decision that he knew was right for him but was still very hard to do. I applaud his courage in stepping away from a game he so clearly loved and like you I hope he finds something else he can pursue with passion.
