Rivers on the move

Tom Brady to LA has some legs to it being he already has a house there and he will a more weapons than he had and a better defense which has been rumored for several days now. After reading Miami forum not even sure they will take tua due to undersized with injury concerns...

I think if Rivers really still wants to play, he'll take a reasonable deal.  He's made his big-time money.  He also knows he won't he in high demand.  That said, I would take him on a 2-3 year deal, draft a young QB to develop and let Cam get some new scenery.  At this point, I think it's beneficial to both parties...Cam and the Panthers alike.

LA is definitely going to take Tua if he's available. Will they move up to #3 to avoid anybody else picking him up remains to be seen. I think the only teams that they'd have to compete with are potentially the Colts and Raiders.

It's sad everybody has Cam off the team already. Non-sense.

Say what you want about a 5 year plan and a re-build but healthy Cam and with Moore, CMC and Samuel this is the best offense in NFL and then our defense only needs to be average

Notice how the thread said nothing about Cam...

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
