Albert Breer: Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio could be hired after his contract runs out

Most of the GM contracts run until after the draft. I wouldn’t look for one to be hired until then.  Let’s hope Rhule and Brady have a ton of pull to get their guys.

Marty is their guy. They owe their jobs to him. Who do you think hired then

Not taking the bait. We have had this discussion before. If it is going to be ground hog day with more Hurney debate  Forgive if I don't want you to have a starring role given how we don't see eye to eye.

Whatever fiction movie you are making where you believe you speak for any kind of majority of Panther fans on this, I’ll pass anyhow.

Of course we’ve all had this discussion. But when you state your opinion as everyone’s, and won’t back up anything, we wind up here. As usual. Being a homer is fine. But don’t pretend it’s close to “unbiased”.

I just gave my opinion about him and said that I don't think my opinion is in the minority in panther land. Unlike the huddle where anything positive is quickly squashed out by naysayers. Who did I call out? You? Are you a naysayer?

I do not hide my disdain for Marty as the GM.  And I certainly do not want to stir that festering corpse of a debate anymore.  I reserve the right to change my mind though.

It wouldn't matter what facts I would bring up, you wouldn't agree or change your mind. So why would I bother going through the effort. A lot like the impeachment trial, everyone believes what they want and arrange facts to fit their agenda. I have plenty of reasons to back up my opinion and you do for yours.

I asked for some facts, hell I started an entire thread, back when we weren't a dumpster fire yet, asking posters to explain their "Hurney 2.0" fascination and no one could.

I can have an adult conversation if you can?

At the end of the day his positives are far less than his negatives so far, please explain how you think he has done a better job.

"I think Marty is better this go round"

"Oh yea, please explain"

"I don't owe an explanation to you idiots"

I really don't know that I have a strong interest in chasing Patriots draft guys. I have a much more realistic bar of what constitutes a good draft than most of you and I would still say I can't remember the last time the Patriots had a "good" draft.

Nick was a pro personnel guy, not a college guy for them.  The Pats have always been ahead of the curve on pro free agents, and when to move on from their own guys, something that this franchise has historically struggled with.
