Person: Trading up for Burrow is an option for the Panthers

Normally trading up to the number one slot for a sure-fire QB when a QB needy team has that first pick is an absolute pipe dream. In this case with so many factors involved, it's at least a consideration.

some of those factors:

-real drama with Burrow possibly not wanting to play for the Bengals

-Burrow's college OC just landed here

-the Panthers may be looking for a new franchise QB

-there are only a few other teams with realistic chances to go after Burrow

-Tepper

All this at least makes for some fun speculation leading up to Vegas.

If it weren't for Brady and Tepper, I wouldn't even consider this worthy of a second thought.

As it is, I still don't see it happening, but I'd at least judge it worthy of a Jim Carrey "Dumb and Dumber" meme.

#7 and Cam Newton for Burrow from the Bengals. Yay or nay?

If you really want to discuss the possibility you must first ask yourself if this a realistic offer?

Cam/#7 is not enough to get the #1 pick. We don't even know if the Bengals would value Cam. Even if they did with his injury history, you would think they would want more than the #7 pick.

Cam, #7, 2021 1st round pick for Burrow. That would be the offer that gets them thinking about making a deal.

I think they'd want CMC too or more picks.

I’ll add this: I would never do it.

But it’s not my billions, and it’s not my team.

100% agree. To move up to #1, it would be way too much draft capital. Start Grier and get a better QB next year with much less capital. Maybe even just our one pick. I don’t see Burrow as a guy who’s worth that. One year wonders rarely work out and before you say Cam Newton. That was Cam’s 3rd real year and he was 21. This was Burrow’s 5th year and he’s 23. Kind of like DJ Moore and Ridley. The latter was a man among boys and the former has a much higher ceiling.

No way.

Love is starting to get buzz as possibly the most talented QB in this draft. The 3rd QB taken will be Love and we don't have to trade up for him.

Love is extremely overrated and will still not be the third one picked.  He is not Mahomes that is pretty laughable.  He was flat out bad last year.

I seriously think a move up for Herbert is a real possibility.  Better get used to it.

Worst decision for a rebuilding team. Why give up a bunch of assets when there is still a lot of holes. Might finally tune out the Panthers for a while if they did this and I watched every game of the Jimmy Clausen season

because "a lot of holes" don't mean anything if you have a good QB

Thanks Browns GM.

Their dynasty started when they drafted Tim Couch. Guy was an absolute legend.

Then they followed it up with Hall of Famer Brady Quinn

And when Quinn couldn't go anymore they got Brandon Weeden to carry on his legacy.

But they knew they could do even better with everyone's favorite QB, Johnny Manziel

And they sky was the limit when they drafted Baker Mayfield #1.

All you need is a QB baby!
