With the buzz about Moore being a #2 and Samuel a slot (and I agree), we could grab a WR early.  Round 2 maybe?

Maybe if the value is there.. But with these many good WR coming out and Brady's offense not needing a (Julio type number 1) per say... We might can grab one in the 3rd maybe even 4th round... WR unlike in past year isn't that big of a transition from college to pro's.. Since alot of teams are using more college philosophies and schemes in their route tree...

The Indy part was only 1 example she used.. Again .. She didn't guarantee anything.. But she mentioned conversation with FO and coaching staff at different parts of this offseason and Senior Plus east west game conversation.. She not basing this on specific thing..

In other words her opinion.

I hope we do not use the second rounder on a WR--but I expect a stud to fall--do you let him pass you by and possibly reach for a need?  I do not.

I also wonder how much influence this new young staff will have---will they want show ponies or plow horses?

From Jordan Rodriguez opinion..

Defense heavy draft early and pass catchers later.. According to Jordan on Wfnz..

As one of the more vocal oline people, for the record what I think the team *should* do (focus heavily on oline, LT preferably through FA on the off chance one is available that fits but more likely draft in the first), and what I anticipate it will actually do are often two separate things. I fear that those suggesting that Marty already thinks he has his LT in Little might be right. I'm hoping they're wrong, but I wouldn't bet against them.

Whatever we do, I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope it works for the best, but I hold no illusions that my personal preferences are very likely to line up perfectly with the team's actual actions.

I get your question but imo there are so many "potential" studs in this draft .. It seem impossible for some not to fall in the 3rd 4th and maybe 5th rounds.. Unless every team decides to grab a WR with 1 of their 1st pick and forget all position.. The math just says there will be highly productive college wr in later rounds...

It's a Hurney offseason, disapointment is sadly expected.

I really don't know but until otherwise I expect more of the same with some new Rhule twists.

So lots of disapointments I guess. Who will be this year's Gauldin, Grier or Little? Who ever is picked in the first better show out, we need help at a lot of positions and free agency hasn't  helped much the last two years in a pisitive way.

To the contrary, many people were singing the praises of Hurn-dog 2.0 last off season during FA.  I was skeptical, but even gave him kudos when he was able to land McCoy.

Paradis, Irvin, McCoy and Hogan (to a lesser extent), were players that a LOT of Folks here were patting Hurney on the back for.

Hopefully Riverboat, ummm, calculating...ummm,  Hurn-dog 3.0 will sit this FA out except to fill gaps cheaply.

Not me. I was with the skeptical crew and pretty much unenthusiastic about anyone but McCoy being a good pickup, Irvin being solid and Ron's D killed all of that. I like Burns as an edge but knew we weren't going to see him much if Addison and Irvin were healthy. I did think Hogan was worth a shot but by no means great.

I shouldn't hate on people for wanting something to be true but it was rediculous last year. The offseason hype was unwarented and that turned into Allen hype which just as overblown. 3 out of 13, it's a clear and known issue.

Rhule needs to step up and bring some quality to the process. That's a solid hope right now.

If you truly thought that Marty Hurney had learned how to be a GM and build a winning team behind the mic on a local sports radio show...I'm not sure what to tell you.

He ran this ship into the ground before, and he's done it again....something that a few of us knew would happen as soon as he was back in the building.

Some things in life are predictable, wish that housing and the stock market were so easy.

Just to be clear, I was referring to other folks.  I have never been a Hurney fan.  I think you were saying that as a generality, but I'm not a Hurn-dog supporter.
