It's amazing how we as a species are so fast to forget history. Highly infectious novel respiratory diseases don't simply go away without second waves.

But, then again, most of the folks thinking this is all over now are probably used to ignoring history after so often finding themselves on the wrong side of it.

who isn't to say this isn't the second wave?

Im just going on a hunch here, but I have a strong suspicion you aren’t a doctor or have any basic medical training.

When did anyone announce, scientifically speaking of course, that this virus is coming to an end?

the situation is coming to an end, slowly but surely. swine flu had cases trickling throughout the world years after its peak. the panicking, social distancing, shut down, etc is slowing up. we're getting a better understanding of how the disease works, and as the wheels on this hype train begin slowing down - a vaccine will emerge and this will all just be remembered as a blip in history. hopefully we can prepare better for next time and learn from this experience.

welp, im off to the beach. my only worry today is an open container fine.

Science is great, but sometimes, like the Coronavirus, is shooting in the dark.  Sooooo many models have been wrong, soooo many things the CDC has told us have now been revised.  People will get antsy when authorities change their stories, it does not increase confidence for sure.

Fauci, the architect on most of our responses, says to loosen up.  So, if he is the one that put people in the box, they why not listen to him when he says get out of the box?

Otherwise, you are just searching for someone with your opinion and criticizing everyone else.

You're only supposed to listen to the Doctors when they say it's time to "end quarantine", not when they say "wear masks, gloves, avoid large groups, etc..."

The entire globe implemented extraordinary measures to curb this pandemic and it has still infected 5.5M people killing 350k on half of a cold/flu season despite those extraordinary measures.

Some people see this as "proof" that this was nothing to worry about all along.

I swear to god if we continue to devolve intellectually at this pace our grand children will have to rediscover fire.

Read about how people reacted to the Black Plague. It’s all the same. People don’t change. This is predictable.

This pandemic will end like all others. People will start to ignore it long before it really goes away.

History major here. Do you honestly think that is an accurate portrayal of how society as a whole reacted? Because, wow... it's wildly inaccurate.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
