Curious about the senior bowl now when Hebert was asked if he met with us and he responded "I won't comment on that at this time."

 

 

FWIW, I will say this.  The Dolphins really like Herbert.  And word is theyd rather have Herbert at 5 vs giving up a Ton of capital for Tua.

This draft is going to shock some people.  I dont Necessarily see Rhule drafting for Needs but more of a BPA to an extent this draft.

I really doubt we take him.

If anything, I could see us smokescreening hoping the raiders trade up their two firsts to get him at 7. I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Or potentially looking at a QB he could may grab at 12 after the Raiders trade the Farm for Simmons.  Im not convinced the Raiders are going after a QB this year in the Draft.  Its a Big FA or Carr

I do not see the team picking a QB in this draft.  It appears that they will ride with what they have for one more season at least.   Signing a FA QB is not completely off the table yet as I honestly think Tepper wants someone more capable behind Newton in case he can't finish the season.  Allen and or Grier will not be depended on as the stopgap if things go south.   Both are projects right now.  No more projects.

You dont think, that if there is even slight thought that Cam isnt fully healthy on top of them not sure about signing him long term.  That wouldnt draft Herbert to start grooming for the rebuild Now.  Scouts are Much higher on Herbert than people on here (just ask @Verge)

While Im not saying I think this, but wouldn't suprise me if (Panthers like the 2021 QB class better) is a smoke screen.  I get it, people LOVE Lawerence, especially him being a Clemson guy.  But remember how much people loved Luck and how people were concerned/not sold on Cam?

Around draft time, you see teams come out and say things to try to lower a guys stock into their range all the time.  I didnt even think Herbert would make it to 7, hence could be the reason why the Panthers say things like they dont like him compared to 2021 QB in hopes it pushes him down.

If he's there at 7 I'm sure there will be some serious discussion about it but unless he's there I just can't see them pulling the trigger in this draft based on the current events.
