I hope not. I hope he gets a better opportunity than the Dolphins, even if it means us cutting him.

Disagree, dolphins can compete next year with a decent qb, which a healthy cam is more the. Capable of, added that they have several 1st rounders and they’ll be a fun team to watch, actually hope he goes there, their jersey’s are dope as well

Maybe so. I just hope to see Cam go somewhere where he can compete if we're not going to get significant trade compensation. I'd rather us have to cut him than trade him to a bad spot for a 4th.

Doubt anyone wants that 21 million salary when you can wait for him to be released and sign on a 1 year prove it deal for half that

You think Cam is going to sign a $10M one year contract? I would love some of whatever you are smoking

I agree somewhat, I wanted him to go to the pats but they’re not going to let cam be cam, good or bad but I’d like to see it.

I could care less on the compensation end, we fug that up ourselves, just want to see cam play 3-5 seasons with a legit franchise at this point

If he is lucky yeah. If they were going to.pay 21 million they would offer a 7th rounder for him. No one has. They are waiting for his release so they can pay him less.  He is damaged goods and 2 years away from.playing meaningful football.

We don’t know what’s been offered or what hasn’t, hard to gauge that currently, also hard to say if we’ve turned down offers since our whole “significant haul” comment

    • I don't go in for the draft crush stuff because it usually just ends up in people going off the deep end for "their guy". Surprisingly our OL staff has been pretty impressive the last few years. Don't see any point to be pessimistic about Freeling until we get to see him with some development under his belt in the summer. Either way for the long term the most logical reasoning dictates we made the most sensible investment with the pick given the plethora of circumstances that has revolved around our OL for years now.
    • Jake's elbow, or the Kasay out of bounds kick in the Super Bowl.   Luke's first concussion. The dirty hit on Cam in the Super Bowl. If he's going back in time, just pick up Julius Peppers from right before  he headed off to Chicago and bring him to this week, and set him back into the Panthers lineup as a young man again.
    • Bain is a beast. I won't deny it. I mentioned it in another thread, but one of Mesidor's sacks was only because Bain shoved Mesidor's body at the quarterback like he was bowling with him. I have never seen anything like it. I hate that the Bucs drafted him. That being said, Bain has to be perfect in order to compete week to week. He plays a high contact position in a game where the most athletic and lengthy have the advantage. I think he will still be a force, but his impact can be minimalized with right blockers and schemes. Freeling has the opposite problem. He's a long limbed, athletic puppy. He has ALL of the advantages physically. He just needs to add strength to his body and improve his technique. In two seasons, Freeling could end up being regarded as one of the best LTs, if not THE best in the game. That's where his potential is. Both have the potential to boom (Freeling's ceiling is much higher though), but Bain has the higher probability to bust. Just looking at it logically.
