Do not expect to see all issues fixed this year.

Not happy we didn’t get your player that you wanted or position of need addressed the way you thought?

well grow up. This isn’t a minor rebuild that will be fixed this year alone.

expect this to take up to 3 years! Fun stuff!

Grow up? Grow up! But D. Jackson is our number 1 corner! We'll never win again. In fact, we may all die because of this draft, nay these two picks! Oh the horror.

Expect what to take up to 3 years? Where do you all see us this league is full of parody only thing that separates teams are a few factors, San Fran went from the bum two pick up the super bowl. I’m not going nearly that far but to say we’re a bottom feeder naw we could of won with Kyle last a few more games we’ve improved this roster we may be closer then many expect to being very competitive.

My expectations for this coming season are low.

We're a very bad team. It's going to take time to get better.

Patience...

How low? After this draft I’ll cone back to you I believe we may be dangerous strong offense and we’re trending towards a get after the qb type of D might not be top tier  but a couple stops when needed is how you win in this league right?

Probably more like 3+ years.

I don't think even the most delusional Panthers fans expected us to be able to fix all our issues this year. I'd be pretty stunned if we fixed the bulk of them in the next three years.

I would say it's possible to get enough talent in 2 good drafts to compete for a playoff spot.  But that does not include Marty in the equation.

I'm starting to think Burns will be playing LB and not DE in the 4-3 this year

That could be a thing, he would be one hell of a player in a joker role. Any plans to use Simmons, part of that could be transfered to Burns.

I feel hes been told to put on muscle mass and plan on being a 3 down 4-3 DE. He could do that without losing his speed.

Wanna bet?  There are plenty of delusional Panther fans

I think that is a "shooting for the moon" projection. IMO, this is the least talented roster in the history of the franchise.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
