Tahir Whitehead will be at MLB (starting off)

Looks like Phil is going to be keeping Shaq on the outside.

Whitehead is quick and has good toughness for the spot, but is a liability in coverage.  Raiders fans were kind of meh about him.

Bill worded that very poorly but to those who can read, all it’s saying is that Tahir will begin training camp as a middle LB. No indication of where on the depth chart.

We will sorely miss Luke. Which would have been the case regardless of who got the spot. You can't replace a talent like Luke without expecting a drop off in almost every department.

Whitehead is good in run defense but his coverage skills leave a lot to be desired. His speed is another thing. Yes, He may start camp there but I wouldn't bet on him maintaining that position Week one.

I’d have to look and I may be wrong but I think 4-3 OLB make as much as 4-3 MLB...

Figured he was brought in to compete for mlb. This is nothing new.

Linebackers get paid based on the percentage of plays they are in for. 

That's why Shaq is getting paid.
