PFF roster rankings

I know some of you are too cool for PFF, but for everyone else, here is an article ranking every teams roster.

They have us 29th, can't really say I can argue with that.

Also people need to realize this isn't a projected W/L list.  For example one team might have a better roster but another might have the better the QB, and we all know that QB can make a huge a difference.

any list that has the Browns at 11 is total trash.

Here again, its not a projected win/loss ranking.  QB play and coaching heavily influences that.

If you took the time to actually look at their roster you would see that they have as many "good" players as a lot of teams in the league.

OBJ, Landry, Garrett, Vernon, and Conklin just to name a few.

We have a weak looking roster, but it has a lot of young talent. I’m excited to see the young defense develop over the course of the season. Burns, YGM, Brown, and Chinn have a lot of potential. I think Rhule’s rebuild is going to have a solid foundation after this season.

The lack of depth at pretty much every position (sans maybe wr) is something to behold.  I mean one would have to try really hard to have a roster as weak and shallow as the 2020 Cats.

Yep, our depth is non-existent and our starters at LB outside of Shaq, CB, TE, OL outside of Moton, and maybe even DE have to be on paper at least near the bottom of the NFL. We're playing the long game with this roster. Nothing about this roster says "win now". Everything about this roster says "build a contender over the next 2-3 years".

On paper, this is easily a bottom 5 roster in the history of the Panthers.

Yep. So glad we’ll spend $90M on Teddy, Short and Anderson this year and next and make sure we avoid the top pick. Grier could have been our Clausen and Weinke to get us Cam/Luke and Peppers/Gross in back to back drafts and $90M to sign two stud FAs when the young guys were ready to compete. Throw in a comp 3rd and 4th to add the best two interior OL in addition to our full set of top of the round picks. SMH. Who thought this was a competitive roster for 2020?
