Bright spots and , uh, not so bright spots.

The play calls on that last drive. No urgency, totally ridiculous. Too concentrated on running the clock down instead of scoring.

Running the clock down was not a problem.  Given our position on the field, we would have had plenty of time.  Just didn't make the first.  Coaching staff realized that giving it back to the Rams with any time left on the clock meant over time or loss.

The good:

Panthers football is back

Most of the additions on offense seem to be good

Rookie CB Pride did real good

Kept the game close, never gave up

The bad:

Run d is still bad

Kk is skating again

Lb corps is real bad, we got spoiled with the luke and td years

Panthers lose again

Teddy started really strong but the pressure really seemed to start getting to him in the second half. Saw a lot of rushed throws, poor footwork and bad ball placement.

Poor OL having an impact again.

I'm kinda worried that could be a trend as the year goes on.

One other thing I remember noticing: It seemed like the Raiders found something exploitable early on. I saw several plays where they tossed a ball right over a solo defender coming off the edge.

Second half: Don't remember seeing that as much so maybe we adjusted.

(yes, you can do that) :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

Lies!

I've been watching Panthers football for 25 years, and these mythical halftime adjustments people are always on about are just a fairy tale. I have yet to see our team do them. I don't think they exist. At least not in our locker room anyway.

I'm telling you...they exist.

I know this is contrary to our experience as Panther fans, but I swear it's true.

Yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised by it. Teddy hasn't been stellar under pressure in his career and this is likely the most pressure he will ever face, considering the state of our OL.

It is what it is. We knew 2020 would be tough.
