But when the games already bagged and we are in this “rebuild” mode. At least give them a fighting opportunity to build some of that confidence with a stop even if you lose in the end.

Yeah and if they don’t get the stop? Because we literally saw what they did on the very first play. Again, these are young players. They have to earn that trust.

Cowboys got the onside in their game.

The question is not if the onsides was gotten. It’s the placement of the onsides call considering your opponent.

If you want to maintain this theory and what happened. The choice would have meant we would have had to have made 2 onside kicks no matter what.

With the change in kickoff rules not allowing a run-up, the onside kick is now nothing but an effort in futility.

But the call? Not surprising after the FB slam last week that ended the game.

Not even a single bounce. It was like watching British football.

I explained my thinking on why it was a horrible call in the game thread, but just watched Rhule's presser and he spun it as they looked at it like they were gonna stop them either way, but figured the inside kick gave them 2 chances at getting the ball back...  but then, he said something about if we didn't convert it and stopped them, then we would get the ball back with no timeouts and 90 yards to drive, "and that's what Teddy is good at."  LOL, you can't make this up.
