Matt Rhule had some thoughts on the offensive play calling and what has been different as of late.

offensive staff, has really tried to hone in on hey, what are really the things we do well and really do them well. I

and Marcus Satterfield and those guys did a great job. So, I think all of us are really growing. That’s game four,
that’s really kind of like the end of the preseason, what would have been the end of the preseason.

It is nice to see them focusing on the things they really do well. More meat, less bread. Pounding the ball with Davis with the occasional long throw to Robby or DJ is some fun football watchin.

This is what smart coaching looks like. Joe Brady has done a great job with situational play calling after the failed 4th and 1 against the Raiders. We saw the Panthers run that sake play against the Cardinals to convert a 3rd and short to Alex Armah up the middle, and that seemed to energize the team. 

Really nice to see the team utilize what they have and scheme around player strengths and weaknesses. I think we all like what we see from the offense, especially not losing a beat after McCaffrey went down. The fact the Panthers are 2-0 without CMC is shocking and bodes very well for the future.

I could not imagine Joe Brady with a prime Cam. Lawd, that would’ve been deadly.

Nah I bet we have him for at least 2 maybe even 3 seasons. He’s so young and this is only his 2nd season coaching in the NFL. McDermott took awhile to get his first head coaching gig and we all knew he was talented.

you're telling me we open the second half with zylstra, roberts, and god knows who else on the field and get a first down on 1 play? wtf is happening here?   and there are a lot of players getting some time and experience that i don't think would ever see the field in past regimes w/out injury.  i just really like what's happening all the way around.  we're actually not stupid.  i'm really kinda in shock.

Brady is a really young, smart coach.  I love what I've seen, but a HC has to be a leader of men.  I've heard lots of good things about Brady, but I just don't think he's ready.  A couple more years, then sure.  

If I were Brady, I'd be careful about jumping on the first team that throws Rhule money at him.  There are only 32 NFL HC positions, and we've seen countless times good coaches get bounced out, get in over their heads, and ruin their careers.

McDermott is a defensive coach, look at guys like Mcvay, Leflour, Taylor, Kingsbury all these guys have as much experience as Brady. It’s the new trend to go with a young offensive coach

I don't think he's been in the pros long enough to establish enough connections to put together a staff. Mcdermott had been in the league for over a decade, McVay was in the NFL for 7/8 years before getting a head coaching job so he had the connections. 

This is only Brady's second year in the NFL. I'm not sure he could put together a staff on his own just yet.

If he gets an opportunity then he needs to take it that’s just the way it goes. There is no rhyme or reason on how or when a coach gets a gig. It’s 1 of 32 positions in the NFL and when you get one you just take it because there may not be a second.

      Steelers fans will take over the Stadium and city   It will be unbearable  worse for me, on the west coast, resigned to the nfl network and you know it will be a steelers broadcast team.    It was ungodly bad with sheduer 2 weeks ago  Last game, tried listening  on panthers radio and  watching  on espn live last week but the delay between the 2 drove me nuts  so as bad as they were playing, found something else to do

      I mean I don't have a personal axe to grind with any human on the Panthers roster.  I know AT shouldn't be dominating the slot. The fact he is....is because we have a horrific front office/management.   I can part with any player.   The goal is a winning team.   the root of the AT ranting, is really just looking out for BY (people like to call me BY hater though).  A QB who was basically screwed from day 1 when we got drafted here.  I went hard at Carolina then too for setting him up to fail. Because it was obvious from the jump the setup was failure by design.  Which was true.   I said Frank bad zero sense with BY.  Miles Sandes made double zero sense.  The players they got in FA made zero sense.     Either you build a BY O.....or you move on from BY.  I have said I am cool either way.  We are in no man's land and have been there since they day we drafted him.

      It's the QB school guy mentality. Thielen is a shitty #1 option so aaarrrrggghhhh FUUUUUUUUUG HIM!!! This dude SUCKS!!! Yeah, Thielen should no longer be a #1 option at this stage in his career. He honestly shouldn't be a starter at this point in his career. But it's not an Adam Thielen issue that we've had to ask him to do that.
