Mind fuging boggling.

Even if we end up having to let Samuel walk we need Moton. Badly.

I've loved what I've seen out of Curtis this year but it's a no brainer IMO. Starting OTs aren't exactly easy to find as all Panthers fans should be painfully aware. Starting OT >>>>>> #3 WR all day everyday no question.

Re-signing him is off-season priority #1. Then again, re-signing Bradberry should've been off-season priority #1 last year and we saw how well that worked out. Hopefully we do a better job of identifying priorities this year.

Look I've said all off season and since then that I got the signing over Bradberry because Luke probably let the org. Know sometime after Ron was fired that he was done and done needed  to keep something.

But good lord its getting harder to defend him. He broke so late on so many goddamn passes today and his tackling was matched (technique at least) by fugin Tre today.

Mmmmmmaybe we should've rolled with James.

Yepppp

I hate to lament on would-a, should-a, could-a, but yep.

It will be critical to identify guys whether draft or FA this coming offseason that are 3+ year plugs minimum at 3 major spots (excluding QB): LB, CB, & C.  No busts, no wasted spent $$.  We'll have cash for the first time in a bit to grab some young and higher level starters.

We're going to have to overpay now, but we still have to do whatever it takes to keep him. Letting Moton go with the shape of the rest of the OL and the potential turnover there, will honestly set this team back a year.  Backed ourselves into a corner and we're going to have to spend our way out of it here.

Could need a new LT, C, and who knows at Guard.  I'd expect 2-3 OL drafted next year, but still. Could get ugly real quick if Moton leaves, compounded with Okung retiring/leaving, cutting Paradis, etc.

    • I think the player matters a lot(in regards to price specifically). Parsons will likely end up being worth the price because he is unquestionably elite. Burns obviously hasn't been until this year because he isn't a consistently elite pass rusher. He is too easy to shut down with just a single blocker.  Guys like Parsons and Garrett that you have to plan your entire blocking scheme around make everyone on the defense better. Truth be told, that isn't Burns on his current line, it's Dexter Lawrence. But, as you pointed out, situations still matter. Joe Burrow may be a truly elite QB but that doesn't matter a lot when he can't stay healthy or the overall team isn't good. Ask Matt Stafford about that in Detroit.   The Panthers aren't in a position to be liquidating the extremely valuable draft picks we have. Our roster is still a bottom 5 overall NFL roster.
    • I don't hate KK. The Canes overpaid and he's enjoying the benefits.  Anyone who assumed he was going to turn into an excellent player based on what the Canes paid him weren't paying attention. Sure, I wish he was much more physical, he's a big guy, and that's really all I was hoping for when he came to Carolina. Danault is better in the FO circle, better defensively and better down the middle, but it's a moot point now.
