It's refreshing to see this staff not rush a star back into the lineup IMO. He's too valuable to get him back at 80%.

Or...a new coach has a few years to prove himself and was blessed with a talent like CMC. I would wager that if the coaching staff were on the hot seat and possibly be out depending on how the season went it would be very different, and he would have been "rushed" back last week.

Lets not pretend as if there isnt a sort of "grace period" and the new staff is allowed to take the time we all agree they should to allow players to heal completely. In short, he IS to valuable to ruishg back at 80%, but any other couach that wasnt on their first year would in fact do so

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
