Official Panthers - Lions Gameday Thread

I'd like to see Grier or PJ and let Teddy rest his knee, but I have a feeling Teddy is going to take some pain killers and play. I'm not aware of any knee sprain that causes swelling and just magically heals in one week. Doesn't happen, so if he plays it's with some knee pain and some risk. Teddy is fully aware that the more games we win the less likely we'll have a chance at a top QB in the draft.

JPP wasn’t penalized on the play, which was a mistake by the officiating crew. The low hit has made Bridgewater questionable today, although he’s going to give it a shot in pregame warmups.

Yeah we all pretty much knew it was illegal at the time. Just like when it was open season on making illegal hits on Cam. The refs don't care about what happens to Panthers players. If that had happened to just about any other QB there would have been flags everywhere.

Honestly it'd be dumb to play Teddy. For what? If the guy's knee is compromised sit him. It might be worth pushing it if we were in contention but don't put the guy out there compromised for nothing.

I think the only one who wants to see Teddy play is Teddy tbh.  I'd be surprised if we activated him today.  I think we're just letting him think he has a chance to play by testing it before the game.

But maybe I'm wrong.  I have no faith in PJ Walker but it can't hurt to find out.

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
