I think it is the Teddy effect. 

Andy Reid's system is essentially what it is.  He got rid of Alex Smith because Alex Smith wouldn't pull the trigger on enough plays.  He neutered Reid's offense.  That is what Teddy is doing to Joe Brady's offense.  Limiting it.

THIS. My God I just don't get it. Why do we have to keep blaming coaches for Teddy's inadequacies?

We're a fan base that has cried foul that Brees pads stats with his dink and dunk playing style (and lots of YAC) - on his way to like an .800 record against us. 

I used to be baffled about it, now I just accept that some people will never learn.

Is this not the Payton offense?  This offense is designed to run confusing routes and though a lot of underneath stuff comes open, a lot of stuff opens up down field too.  We leave so many points out there week after week.  You have to see it dude.

Teddy is their guy though....they chose to go out and get him in FA when his "inadequacies" were pretty well-documented.  I don't see how you can not blame the coaches who looked at hours and hours of tape of Teddy's entire career and thought "Yep, THAT'S our guy! Marty, bust out the checkbook".  He is who we thought he was, right?  Well Brady and Rhule were apparently the only two people who didn't know about Teddy's limitations.

Imagine being a supervisor at an office job and hiring your buddy who just got fired from his last job for slacking off.  You vouch for him to your manager and say "Boss, this is absolutely the guy for the job" and lo and behold, your team's numbers take a huge nosedive cause this dude is just deadweight, constantly slacking off.  Then you actually have the nerve to go to your manager and blame that employee when you went out of your way to bring him in and he ends up doing exactly what he has always done.  That ain't how the real world works, dude.

      It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth

      Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
