Recently?
Trasks last 3 games have been 1k yards, 12 TDs and 0 INTs and 75%+ completions.

Rattlers last 3 games has been 800 yards, 7 touchdowns, 1 interception and 65% completions.

It won’t translate the same to the pros but Trask has looked like the best quarterback in college football all year, even recently.

That’s fair. I won’t argue. Hence the reason I said he and Pitts.

Pitts is a cheat code. Rattler will be a better QB in a year or two and I fully expect Rattler to be a better pro. He went from missing the end of his high school career to having to sit for a season for the first time in his life and was thrown into this odd covid season with high expectations and little time to practice. I think he’s grown leaps as the year has gone on. OU will be scary next year and the year after. And probably after that because they are great at getting QBs to come play for them.

It’s on par with what Wilson has gone up against. That’s his biggest knock.

Yeah exactly. BYU backing out of play Washington was the biggest bitch move. Seeing him go up against a defense with 3-4 2021 draft picks on it would have been nice. That's what im so worried about, he can throw for 400 the rest of the games and win the Hiesman but it'll be so tough to really know what you're getting if we draft him

So far not impressed with what is supposed to be the much better team.  Still a long way to go but Wilson looks like he struggles with pressure coming at him.

Yeah that's a huge thing to look for. If he can't handle pressure I think we have to pass. We haven't shown any pulse of being able to build/draft a legit OL

saw Howell throw a deep out, then Trask now watching Wilson.   Howell arm looks better.  Wish he was coming out or we could snag him next year and OL this year.

Howell would be incredible. I agree if we decide Lance/Wilson is a reach or if they're gone by the time we pick I think we build OL best as possible then trade up to get Howell in 2022

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
