Linebacker Shaq Thompson, wide receiver Curtis Samuel and defensive tackle Derrick Brown have all been activated from the reserve/COVID list and are practicing Friday.

Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos and tackle Greg Little were activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week. Wide receiver DJ Moore and defensive tackle Zach Kerr remain on the list.

McCaffrey may still be our due new injury issue.

WR DJ Moore and DT Zach Kerr remain on the NFL reserve/COVID-19 list and there is no expectation they will be removed in time for Sunday's game. Robby Anderson will play a big role for the WR group, and Curtis Samuel who just came off the covid list Friday will have a role in the game plan

Brandon Zylstra season.

I know this was meant as a joke, but it would be a great time to get some evaluations into the bottom of that WR barrel. This is the first time in what feels like forever we have a real WR core, why not take the opportunity and see what you have and worse case relegate them back to ST.

Is David Newton the Marty Hurney of team beat writers?

Oh I’m not joking I want to see Zylstra take advantage of time. There were a number of Vikings folks I talk to that were mad we poached him after he was cut.

I think they were hoping to stash him somehow.

    • I never thought a second look was even necessary. I was begging the football gods not to have us trade up to the 1st pick. And damn once we did it was a thoroughbred vs a little pony.    If you have a perceived generational player in the pool and you have the 1st pick, you just don’t trade it. In the first place. But all this Bryce drama - which (understandably) takes over almost any thread, just like this one - would never have happened if the team was not sold to Tepper.
    • I agree. I understand why he did though. And surely he had his parents in his ear who have always gone out of their way to make sure he always had the best and the least amount of adversity around him to that point in his life advising him to do so. Where I take the most issue with it is when people who just want to be sycophants start listing off other QB's who didn't throw at the combine and you don't even make it through half the names before your eyes roll right into the back of your head realizing every single of those QB's who didn't throw already clearly showcased the necessary prerequisite physical talents needed for the position.
