Yeah down 8 with a minute left and a flagrant foul called on us... They had 2 free throws and the ball up 8 with a minute left. And lost. That is so hard to believe. I mean, we were absolutely fuging great in the clutch and never gave up so a ton of credit to the Hornets. But also, man the Kings needed to hit those free throws, 6 straight missed free throws I think in the last couple minutes helped keep us in it.

Also, lowkey that LaMelo block in the final minute right before Rozier hit the big 3 to make it a 5 point game was the most important play of that game. That was an elite defensive play in crunch time that sparked our final comeback efforts. This guy is going to lead us to at least 1 championship, I'm convinced of that.

Lamelo's basketball instincts are making him an actual respectable defender. When he gets more acclimated to the defensive rotations and assignments, while putting more weight on his frame he is going to be a nightmare for smaller one and two guards.

If I am not mistaken he is top 5 in the league in steals currently.

and to think his biggest knock coming into the draft was that he couldn't play defense. Crazy.

Not a bad performance, all things considered (3 starters out, B2B road game, playing a hot-shooting team, etc).

LaMelo:  30pts, 8 assists, 6 boards, 4 steals, only 2 turnovers, solid defense, 5/7 from three (“he can’t shoot” lol)

Malik Monk:  19pts in 27 mins.  3/7 from three.  Got to the hole at-will.

Rozier:  20pts, 4 steals

Can’t wait until next week, post ASG weekend.  Should be closer to full strength and add some big bodies from the G League.  Martin brothers played okay today but we shouldn’t be relying on them for that many minutes.  We lacked depth bigtime today.  Let’s get the next one.

cool to think about our chances of losing almost all our games on this trip and we've been playing .500 ball against really good teams.

Tonight we visit the team expected to pick first in the draft.  This is also our last game for a week, so let's keep our heads straight and go home with a win.

    • Even all the rookie QB's who haven't played a single snap ranked above him? I really hope Bryce is using all this as motivation in some capacity. Because if this doesn't motivate him I don't know what will.
    • Of course. That’s what I said. Bad goalie play and the style of defense. Florida played amazing.  Rods decision to stick with a struggling Freddie cost us. Plus, Florida may be more talented than us and they play a very heavy game. Something we don’t do well minus Svech.  Glad the rangers lost.
    • You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.
