You know, for all of the Huddle expertise in evaluating players, Remmers has had a long career and will very likely be getting a Super Bowl ring in two weeks. Also, I'd imagine that he will remain at RT (where he's spent the better years of his career). 

Maybe our group mind isn't as smart as we think it is.

Or maybe having an elite QB, Elite TE, and Elite Receiver makes is much easier to get the ball out before a sack can happen. 

 

Some of his throws yesterday happened within one second of the snap. It is ridiculous.

People still blame Remmers for that game and they are STILL WRONG.

It was very (*&$@ing clear from very early on that we needed to give help on Von Miller.  Our OC chose to not give help . . . at all.  Instead of placing the blame where it belonged, on our staff, we chose to blame Remmers.  Sometimes players just have an amazing game and you need to adjust for it.  We didn't.

Remmers has enjoyed a solid career since leaving us with the Vikings, Giants and Chiefs.  The guy is now rostered and likely to play in his second SB.  He's already started 12 games for the Chiefs this year.  I expect he's going to get a ring this time.  Andy Reid is far from Mike Shula.

I blame the coaches and the refs.    Refs mainly.  Lot of the biggest Von Miller plays that won that game featured blows to the head, illegal bats of the ball, etc.

They also scheme smartly to make best use of their line. Mahomes has a quick release and is very mobile. He rolls out often to the right side (and the run game often works to the right) and this allows Remmers to keep his man in front of him and just maul the guy rather than kick-step and pass block. That's smart and moving him to LT just because he has experience isn't a good plan, as we learned the hard way. Of course, he's blocking for Mahomes rather than Cam and that is to Remmers' advantage as well.

Yep. Remmers is a solid player who had a glaring weakness against speed rushers. Vic Beasley exposed it in the second to last game in the regular season. Why Rivera and Shula thought he'd fare any better against Von Miller is nothing short of baffling.

Oh, look, Mahomes has turf toe.  Loses his LT.   About to play the best front in the NFL.   Everything setting up for Brady.

      I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
