Just like Tom Brady , people act like watching highlight tapes they know what’s going on vs me that watched hours of film study on Mac jones

I don't think you're capable of getting this, or too committed to the troll, but the idea of comparing Mac Jones to Tom Brady is insane at best, and downright idiotic if nothing else.

Tom Brady was a literal needle in a haystack find, who turned into the GOAT. Literally, no other example even makes sense.  Compare a young college basketball player to Michael Jordan?  Idiotic.  But even with that, Jordan was at least a top prospect. Comparing ANYONE to Brady, where he was drafted, his scouting report, etc. is just stupid.  If anything, you comparing Mac Jones to Brady the prospect means he should be a...6th rounder?  Shows he doesn't have the tools to be considered a top draft pick?  Again, the endgame here is either you can't count to potato, or you're trolling.

If we see a top QB at #8 we will take it . If there is no top QB at # 8 we trade down a few spots for more picks and still get Mac Jones a little later .  Not playing Jones in the senior bowl maybe because he was dinged up gives us an edge because Rhule watched him in practice and met him up close . If we pick him it will be because Rhule believes in him .

Ooooooor...... Maybe Carolina purposely held him out because of that reason alone... They want him...

Please don't take me serious

Rhule and company had a week to get to know whatever they wanted to about Jones. They publicly raved about him, though that doesn't necessarily mean they'd draft him at number eight.

The feeling it gives me though is that if they do (or don't) I'm probably gonna trust that decision.

I'm beginning to think that if Rhule raves about a player it means absolutely nothing in getting a sense of his direction.  It's a good strategy to be honest because it throws off the competition to your thinking.

Yeah every time he has something good about someone they were cut lol, so that’s good news for Jones.

Just throwing it out there.  You have to take that praise with a grain of salt.  It's good for the players egos but it means nothing about what he really has planned.

So because someone disagrees with your assessment they're trolling?

I absolutely get Tom Brady vibes from Jones. He'll never reach those levels, but there are comparisons to be made.

The most amusing thing is people overlooking his ridiculous stats / success because it doesn't fit into their narrative. If he was an uber athlete with a huge arm they'd be falling over themselves to crown him.

I'm aware that a lot of the NFL Draft is about projection. But that's also how you pick guys like Bortles, Ponder et al and overlook Wilson, Brees, Brady etc.

When it all plays out I wouldn't be surprised if he goes in the first round.

It’s a bunch of things he’s said together. Like calling Watson average and telling us Jones will be better for sure. .

    • Pytor kochetkov assigned to Chicago for conditioning stint. Wonder if he gets playing time in the playoffs if Bussi or Freddy flounders
    • What specific LT at 19 are all of the OT Stan’s wanting? Be specific. All have issues and are not guaranteed to improve the OL.. The chances of one of these LT’s who are projected at 19 (Proctor, Lomu) being a bust is much higher than a guy like Lemon/Concepcion imo. Do you really want to draft a kid who has weight struggles along with lateral movement issues? And the other who was a shitty run blocker vs Big 12 competition? Morgan and Co. want to see how Rasheed Walker plays.. They also want to see how Icky’s rehab goes.. There’s a lot of  “wait and see at OT”  We don’t have the luxury for our 1st round pick being a backup. We lack top end talent. Morgan and the others have made it known they want to win now. For that reason, I’m almost positive we punt on OT in the first this year and worry about it next year in the first round if need be.    Thieneman would be ideal. He’s a natural “center field” safety with great coverage skills. For the posters who want trade up for Downs…Do you realize he struggles in coverage? He’s more of a box safety. We already have two of those players.. I wouldn’t mind trading in front of the Vikings for the Thieneman though.. Next need would be DT, but I don’t see the value there at 19.. Same with edge. WR at #19 is very realistic. Who would improve this team more than Lemon/Concepcion? You could argue a slot CB, but the value isn’t great there either. People tend to forget the Seattle Seahawks game.. Yes BY sucked, but no one was getting open.. We could use a quick savvy route runner to beat man coverage. TMAC and Coker are great, but consistently creating separation vs Man Coverage is not their strength.
