Trask didn’t even practice . Newman hasn’t looked good at all . Threw picks every single practice . Now he in the game can’t even get a throw off . Team overall look like they don’t wanna be there maybe Thule did coach these guys too hard for a exhibition game

their poor performance is not on our coach

looks like he separated the wannabe paycheck collectors from the players

Yeah idk the other side just look like they have way more juice . Kj Britt the only guy i seen playing worth a damn . But the second half will tell the full story .

I posted in the draft thread, but I want no part of D. Brown from Alabama. He’s too big and slow. He would get eaten alive by quick DL and couldn’t ever be an effective pulling G. He’s got to lose some weight because he looks noticeably slow on screens, like so slow that defenders could just run around him.

The whole set of OL on our side look mediocre. Rhule’s crew just not looking like they’d be able to score a point and it’s due to OL and QB play. D hasn’t been bad, hard to tell when they keep going for it on 4th.

I’ll second your opinion on Brown. He looks horrible out there.

Yeah, the American OL has been pretty bad all game. They had a better drive but I think that was more Mond.

I don’t mean to pile on Brown but if you want a laugh, go watch the 2 point play again. I have no idea what Brown was trying to do but the DT put him on the ground with a slight push. Luckily the bootleg when back the other way.

I feel like Brown believes that he can use his size his entire career but Aaron Donald would have a athletic field day with him.

He’s getting some better protection too and he looks a little more relaxed.

His career is the definition of hot and cold. There are weeks he looked like a pro and then turns around the next and makes you scratch your head.

Yep. I'd watched a couple of his games a while back and was intrigued. Then I watched a couple more recently and was like WTF was I thinking?

    • I LOOOOVED Nick Emmanwori in last year's draft and seeing him thrive and become an instant leader of Seattle's defense this year makes me want a similar rookie beside Moehrig.  In scanning this year's draft, I came across Zakee Wheatley from PSU. Not exactly the same build, but Senior Bowl measurements have him at a hair under 6'3" & 200lbs and runs a 4.4. His acceleration, ability to span the field and be a true center field coverage safety would allow Moehrig to float more near the LOS and play to his strengths with a worthy compliment. Wheatley is a modern day lengthy SAF and he excels in zone coverage, isn't afraid to get dirty in the run game and has a nose for the ball.  We play such a soft cover-3 scheme that having someone with speed to roam would be great. I'd especially like to see us roll Ransom out there with these two as well with Horn/Jackson to secure that backend for us. Looking like a R2 pick as of now with some saying early third. If he truly is an athletic specimen that his numbers show, I assume he will only climb higher after the combine.  https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25250463-nfl-draft-2026-scouting-report-penn-state-s-zakee-wheatley Will defnitely look to see how he does at the Sr. Bowl this weekend and in Indy next month.
    • Yeah, I can see that too. Sticky, reliable hands that does not drop a lot of balls and runs the whole route tree.
