He literally just said hey I don’t want to comment on QB speculation. That’s not my job and I’m trying to be the best RB that I can be. He said nothing negative but didn’t want to play into the QB speculation convo that they were trying to stir up. Typical professional Football player answer

Exactly. What did Newton expect him to say?

Screw the coaches, Teddy is my guy.

I was looking for the clip, and couldn't find it.  Not surprised...  If CMC is currently viewed as the face of the franchise, I'm pretty sure he is in the know of what's going on and what we plan on doing.  He's just disassociating himself from Teddy in advance.

Posted above...

If you didn't see it, and have no idea what to make of it...why did you feel a need to make a thread about it? Like wtf?

Cause someone else might have seen it or posted a clip (which they did)

Plus it being our star player talking about our quarterback situation, it's kinda relevant to us.

But hey, I can start thread number 206 about trading for Deshaun Watson if you prefer.

Newton having a job is the same as Mick Mixon having a lead role. It cannot be explained with reason.

The Panthers have been a "Good Ol' Boys Club" since their inception.  I think Tepper is trying to change that culture, but some of the last vestiges still remain.

Just watched it and he literally said nothing about Teddy. Click bait Newton at it again

Yeah, that was a nothing burger. CMC just completely side stepped the question telling the truth - he's a player and those decisions aren't up to him so why bother to pay attention to the speculation? I mean, he could've thrown some support Teddy's way with some kind words, but he didn't. It's a reach to read a lot into that though. I mean, he only played a handful of games with the guy. It's not like he's ducking on supporting a guy he's played his entire career with.

By saying he didn’t want to comment, he commented. He fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is never get involved in a land war in Asia. But only slightly less well-known is never comment on your QB when the front office has decided to move on! He gave away everything! Inconceivable!

Newton's suggestion here is that McCaffrey was more supportive in prior comments made around the end of the season.

I'm looking for what comments he might have referenced but so far haven't found anything.

    • Clean ACLs really are not. He is already running on it. There are more complicated injuries where ACLs tear with other things that can cause more serious injuries. I think that’s where the confusion comes in.
    • Try to reduce the amount of soda that you consume on a daily basis. Soda is packed with sugars and carbohydrates, which can cause cause a poor reaction with your skin. Instead of soda, try drinking water or flavored water as an alternative to your meals during the day or night. Try using some kind of mist moisturizer instead of just using plain water. Plain water only hydrates your skin for a short while and will end up drying out your skin. Moisturizing your skin with a mist form of it is a lot easier to apply then a topical cream. Finding the right product for your skin type is a very important factor in making your skin look nice and healthy. If you have dry skin, you would not want to use products that were designed for oily skin. Make sure you research what the products you use are for, and your skin will thank you for it. After you take a shower or a bath or just wash your face, pat dry with a soft towel. Vigorous rubbing will damage the skin. In addition, leaving a little bit of water on your skin will help keep it from drying out and make it easier to apply an after-shower moisturizer.
