But why risk long term health and playing in a toxic environment for the next few years or logner with the franchise tag if you don’t care about money ...

So why did he sign a contract with such a sorry franchise in the first place?   Greedy?

If Deshaun met with them at all it's it's prove that he's serious about wanting out. He's not playing for them again

Really?

You're suggesting months of being MIA and not returning phone call and cryptic tweets and generally aberrant behavior wasn't sending a crystal clear signal?

LOL...

A millionaire player vs a billionaire owner.

PSA: Why It's Absurd for Anyone to be A Billionaire

Not to say this is the case, however, if the owner is truly stubborn and refuses to budge they can just outwait Watson.  He's gonna run out of money long before the owner does.

To speed up the convo. Obviously you feel like Watson has no leverage and Texans will bully/charm him into playing for their team again. I disagree and let the future be the judge..

    • I know teams have been selling out to stop the run, but Ricos kind of fallen off a cliff.. not sure if hes hurt or just worn down but even when theres a hole he doesnt look anything like he did those few weeks prior.
    • nah, that's basically saying people can't call a spade a spade.  Which is crazy.  89 is not a good dude.  He might have done a couple good things but it will never erase what he has proven to be in front of the world.  I tell my kid all the time not to view celebrity athletes as anything but people that play a sport well.  Lot of garbage humans play on Sunday.   And you have no clue who the good guys actually are.  PR in today's world is also powerful.  There was a window when Deshawn Watson checked every good guy box that could ever existed from the public's perspective.
    • Some folks say it's because teams are playing more shell defenses preventing more longer passes.  The analytics folks would rather you pass for 7 years every down.  As you state, the crop of QBs is mixed as far as quality. I think when you put it all together, it's a recipe for less passing yards.
