Playoff teams stop someone every once in a while.

Yeah, like maybe, I dunno, 8 times at the end of the 4th quarter throughout the season giving the offense the ball back with enough time to mount a game winning drive in order to win a game?

Is 8 times once in a while?

8 times seems like once in a while to me.

The hate on for Teddy is beyond irrational. There's no up grade for Teddy available right now, but Jameis Winston and Mitchell Trubisky is out there if you really have to feed your bitterness.

I agree...the haters are out in force

if teddy had CMC & a good TE with any protection he would have done much better

CMC is our best player and he is a difference maker

All I know is this. No one is blaming the coaches or the defense for the Panther's problems. But they will be here when you get your savior. You all bragged about three receivers getting grand numbers, and you think that Brady did it. You also think that Teddy sacks himself, and throws short high percentage passes as though the revolving door at left tackle doesn't matter.

This is a very ungrateful group here. Teddy kept you relevant in at least 12 of the 16 games with a sucky defense, a sucky offensive line, a rookie head coach, and a rookie offensive coordinator. In spite of all of the suck around him, Teddy was competitive, he had positive numbers, and the next pick six he throws will be his first.

Agreed. There was no running game to speak of. All he had was the short passing game with smallish receivers.

This mind set is what should have changed after having a QB like Cam...

We don't have to accept bad QB play anymore...

Not everything is going to be perfect.. We need a QB that can still succeed when things don't go as plan or we don't have a perfect team situation... Consistent QB play leads to Consistent winning..

I get it...it was really bad...Teddy was really bad

but CMC makes a difference

and we have no TE to help get those 6-7 yds we need on those drives

If a QB can't pull out 1 game out of 8 chances because he doesn't have his RB..

Why would you want him?? Or defend his bad play..

If you think blaming Teddy for that 0-8 situation makes you feel better, have at it. You are just setting yourself up for disappointment with your fixation on Teddy, who is more of the solution than the problem. If you insist on going down this reckless path of giving up assets for someone who can't help you, what's your solution for the defense and offensive line?

A better QB who can cover for not being in a perfect situation... Like we had with Cam.. Or Atleast a avg. QB who could carry the team 1 out of the 8 opportunities giving to him.. Maybe just some one who has thrown 20tds in a season..lol

Teddy it isn't my fault you're a game manager it's yours...

I really hope doesn't read the sewage on this thread.

He doesn't have to.. His coach and his owner are telling him the same thing...

Oh and his stats are making it very clear if he didn't get it from them...lol

    • So the last guy who had the job got hired by his former team directly into a role he has no direct experience in?
    • Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.
    • Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
