My problem is after years of seeing what the difference is in having a QB with elite skills and QB without.. How can some people here want to go back to the latter??

Love Jake to death but every year had to be dam near perfect to make the playoffs.. Great running game, great WR'S , good Oline... And still we were the Cardiac Cats..

While Cam with a little of help could blow teams out the water and take sub par talent to a super bowl..

Guess who ain't got question The Chargers and other teams that went for natural talent not intangibles..

Simms is a very educated opinion on the matter but there are other educated opinions that don't consider him the level of prospect that Simms does.

The issue with Jones isn't that he is a "bad" prospect, he just doesn't have enough elite attributes to be able to easily succeed unless his processing is elite(which some including Simms say it is) and he is in a system that works well for what he can do. Something suited for a guy like Chad Pennington and not Pat Mahomes or Deshaun Watson.

People look at Jones and forget he only started this past season. Why is his current performance indicative of his potential? Can  a guy get more athletic with training? Can they get stronger or even faster. (Within reason of course). He may never be considered athletic but those who think what you see is all you get are way underselling his potential

I can’t help you if you believe that take on Lance.  Honestly, if Simms came out tomorrow and said Will Grier was better than any QB in this class, you’d probably slurp that right up.

If he had said Grier was good then his credibility might be tarnished but he didn't. Which is why I listen to him. He is one of the few that is right a lot more than he is wrong. I didn't say Lance is a bust simply he is the biggest gamble among the top 5 or 6 QBs. Which is what drops him to the second round.

Eh......yes he is just a one year guy but I don't know that I would peg him as a prospect I would expect to have much in terms of ceiling. Reasonably high floor(probably solid journeyman backup QB level) to fairly low ceiling(Chad Pennington, Case Keenum ish) starter in the NFL. 

Could he be Brees? Eh.....maybe, but that seems like taking a pretty big gamble on him being the outlier. 

I think that is the thing that makes him a polarizing prospect. Some see that he seems to have a grasp for some of the more nuanced aspects of the position and then the rest will see the very obvious physical/skill limitations.

He isn't polarizing like Lance or some other prospect. He is a proven winner who did everything asked of him. I don't think he has many physical limitations given that athleticism is down the list of necessary attributes for a QB.  There are many guys who have been successful who weren't physical specimens. Plus I think that Jones is likely working in these issues as we speak. And these supposed issues are not as great as some would suggest. For example he throws a good consistent deep ball and can make all the throws.

Athleticism is down on your list of QB attributes... Not most of the people watching football the last 10 years...

      Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.

      I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.

      I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
