Ronald Curry?? As in THE Ronald Curry?! Also the Falcons need to piss off and keep Matt Ryan. He is their burden to bear...

Yeah, that's him.

He's had a decent coaching career, mostly as a receivers coach but the Saints just recently switched him to quarterback coach after theirs defected to Detroit.

Personally, I think drafting the third or fourth best QB at #4 when you have Ryan under a huge contract and SO MANY needs is dumb.  The "no brainer" move is to trade out, acquire a first rounder for next year so you can move up---and meet some needs.

Too many GMs see a QB as a "get out of jail free" card.  You put an entire franchise on 21-year-old shoulders and you sit back and hope for a miracle.  Dumb.

They will.  And we are not talking scouts or position coaches here--we are sending the 2 who will be making the pick.  Heck, I would want to see Lance--then see the others---just to see how his skill set compares.

It will be interesting to see if they attend Bama and Texas AM too to see the QBs work.   (Have they seen enough of Jones?  Are they curious at all about Mond?)

There are recruiting links between Rhule and mind back in the day ....we know what that means

he is projected late day 2 to day 3. Would not surprise me one bit

They have a tackle they are probably scouting there. I don’t think we are going to have a first round pick.

Rhule is going there to watch Lance.

As of right now we do have a 1st round pick and until that changes they’re going to plan as if they’re picking 8th

Yes--the watson thing is out of their hands, and if they see something the like in the draft, it could impact their price point.

Even without Watson, we have to know what we are willing to do on draft day--Are we trading up for Lance?  how far?  etc.

Watch Denver, Fua.  They are laying low and I think they will move up as far as they can.

I don’t think anyone seriously believes our coach is going to NDSUs Pro Day and he wouldn’t watch Trey Lance…

Denver is a threat. I have even seen one proposal where they use Jerry Jeudy to move from 9 to 3

Miami needs weapons

    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
    • Sounds like Veesaar is entering the draft. He could always test the waters and pull out and return but without him our big men look like a serious liability. Better do something in the portal. If they don't do something about this portal madness my days as a college sports fan are probably numbered. This bullshit of having a nearly entirely new team every season is gonna get old fast.
