A little bit of free agent related news this morning.

Former Panther Andrew Norwell took a pay cut to stay with the Jaguars. He won't be a free agent.

The Ravens agreed to terms with guard Kevin Zeitler who'd been released by the Giants.

Two guards---and what do I hope we get out of this free agency?  2 guards (and a CB).

Like jags were gonna cut norwell unless he took a paycut and they have the most cap space in the league.

His new deal still makes him a top 10 paid LG with the guaranteed money and as high as the #3 paid LG if he hits the escalators. He's good, they just paid him to be great on that initial contract.

Yeah I just looked up he was their best olineman last year but years before I remember reading their fans were really sour on him. He had some injuries and wasn’t playing well. My mistake.

You'd be sour on a newly acquired FA for being good when he was paid to be great too. So would I. Mike Wahle is a great Panthers comp.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
