If Watson is traded to NE then BB and Caserio should be brought up on espionage charges.

I have a hard time imagining that. Howe seems to just be kind of toying with some tinfoil hat stuff.

The one thing that I've noted before though is that there are Patriot connections in a couple of possible Watson destinations. Caserio was long time colleagues with the 49ers Adam Peters and would also be well appointed with Dolphins coach Brian Flores.

It's not. Mostly a rehash of stuff that Person's already written.

The one piece of new territory it broaches is Jeff Howe's theory about the Patriots trying to trade for Watson.

Pretty much, there is really new nothing here. Person realized the Watson situation will get people talking so he’s going to shove it down our throats for the next month.

Gantt invokes Trubisky's name...

No, it doesn't mean anything.

Mike Garafolo did mention that Trubisky is "weighing his options" and will likely be looking for a team that runs a WCO type scheme like we do, but didn't specifically mention the Panthers as one of those options.

Injury history ✅

spotty production ✅

underperformed vs draft position ✅

in all seriousness though, he graded out well last year in pff in a limited role. I’m hopeful for this signing and we needed an ilb. Can’t be worse than whitehead.

Always love a good Mel Brooks film!   He's a taking a dump outdoors because the castle got repo-ed in the scene just prior to this.

It was the first thing that popped in my head after reading Jas' comment, Blinktin was pettty good in that movie.

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
