[Person] Panthers were also in on DL Denico Autry and CB Michael Davis. Probably a good indicator of where they'll look today and in coming days

More like we wasted money on a great RB and mediocre OLBer when we could have had a great CB and another player with positive positional value for their contract.

If we were going to keep a big money CB I would have rather had Bradberry over Peterson. Peterson has been over-rated for the duration of his career and has never really been a lockdown guy. Some team is going to overpay for him.

I dont want that money at RB or off ball LB either, but lets not throw it away on a mediocre CB with name recognition.

He's talked about transitioning to safety, which I think would be a decent move.

I didn't really see him as a realistic option for us anyway though.

I was just messing around, but glad we are not in consideration for him.

He played for an idiot GM, HCs and Owner recently. Aranus got a lot out of him but he has been wasted since he left. I would take Peterson all day if his contract is not super-stupid.

He graded out last year lower than Corn, Douglas, and Donte. I dont want any part of paying him outside of a cheap contract which he is not going to take.

And I don't care about PFF's grades. One CB had a shut down game and they had gave him a negative grade. PFF is trash when used in this way.

Ok even better, he was targeted 75 times last season, he allowed 50 receptions.  61 tackles and 3 int. I don't think his contract will be in line with his current numbers because of his previous success.

I can agree that his next contract shouldn't be based on past success. Someone will overpay if history holds up. Maybe he takes less to get a ring, that wouldn't be here. I would still take him with Shaq's money and not blink.

DE Keldric Faulk (Auburn): Confirmed formal interview with the Panthers. S Caleb Downs (Ohio State): Linked as a high-priority target for defensive improvement. WR KC Concepcion (NC State): Expressed interest in joining the organization, with the team highly aware of him, according to Carolina Panthers.  Draft Focus and Strategy: Defensive Focus: The team is searching for defensive upgrades, particularly a long-term answer at linebacker to continue the legacy of Sam Mills and Luke Kuechly. Draft Board Depth: The Panthers entered the combine with 600 prospects on their board, as stated by GM Dan Morgan. Offensive Needs: Despite having the 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year in Tetairoa McMillan, they are exploring receivers to boost the passing game.
    • I am a Golday fan, but Kyle Louis is a smallish stud.
    • dumb question but I don't know the answer:  What is an "informal meeting" (aside from what it means literally) and what makes it different from "formal meeting?"  I don't know how to ask the question--but I guess I am wondering why an informal meeting is news, or if they were really interested, why not a formal meeting?
