Eh....I'll still stream it. fug 'em.

This makes streaming even MORE attractive IMO since ESPN+ is a streaming service anyway.

Oh, and just as an FYI, the illegal streams have been more reliable than the actual UFC PPVs on ESPN+ and NFL Sunday Ticket will create a LOT more traffic than UFC PPVs. I predict this will be a complete poo show.

I wish they would come up with a plan to just purchase an individual teams game package.  I just moved to Texas from Charlotte and it would be awesome to just be able to buy all the Panthers games.

That being said, im definitely going to subscribe to this next year.

This is for the 2023 season, by the way.

ESPN+ is currently $60/year... or different monthly packages that could range up to $20/month (your mileage may vary). No word on whether football would be an extra price or not.

Thursday night games go to Amazon Prime for out-of-market games; stay on local TV if they're local teams per usual process.

No way it'll be included for $60/year. It'll be an additional fee. Just like UFC PPVs are an additional fee on top of the $60/year. That was a brilliant move by the UFC putting their content behind a double paywall.

They have the technology to do it. And knowing how to handle/recover from the Mandalorian/WandaVision crashes on the Disney+ side of the fence just helps them build a better streaming network.

It may not be that much extra $. ESPN+ can come as a package deal with Hulu and Disney+, so some folks may already have it (and may not even know it).

And if Disney can figure out the tech to do it.... some people may balk at paying an extra $300 for all the games... but there'll be a fair number who'll say $100 just for a single team's games? That's the hook.

ESPN could already have had the market cornered on streaming had they seen the writing on the wall years ago with satellite and cable subscriptions dropping. I mean....YEARS ago.

I would have been an ESPN streaming subscriber back in the day. Now.....f*ck 'em. Don't need 'em. Not interested in paying Disney money, either.

    • I'm right there with you, brother. I've been a Panther fan since the day the team was awarded to the Carolinas.  We've had some good years, a couple of great years, as well as some low periods and no consecutive winning seasons. But I never thought I'd see such a period as we have over the past several years.   It has gotten to the point of being rather apathetic in watching them. In fact, I told my wife before the Miami game I was watching just to see what new and creative way they lose another game. And early on, it looked like they would. But damned if Miami wasn't more creative than the Panthers.   I'm now older than my Dad when he died (he was 65) and, like you, I've wondered if I'll ever see them have another winning season. I'd sure like to think I will.
