Rhule "a fan" of Darnold

Rhule is the type of head coach who will tell another coach over the headset "this might be your last game with us" when that position group isn't doing well during a game. I think he's an incredibly high energy workaholic guy who wants everyone going above and beyond their job description. And he's not the "awe shucks I love all of our players" type of coach. I think he's as hard as he can be on his coaches, like "be here at 5am with the rest of us" is probably coming out of his mouth. And with the players is all sunshine and roses in the press, but behind closed doors it's cut and dry.

Rhule's an "atta boy" coach to the media/public ............who never saw a pay check he didn't like...........

I will admit he made an okay college coach ........but he would really be a great HS coach.

By 'okay' you mean 'turned two dumpster fire programs around in short order', right?

All I want are smart moves. This is just like the Teddy move. We're acquiring a trash QB hoping desperately that he won't be trash for us. These moves usually turn out predictably. History isn't on our side here.

You want smart moves... but you also said that CMC is at best a slot WR, Herbert is Gabbert 2.0, and that we couldn't get a pass rusher because winning a game took the team from #9 to #16?

Sir, history is most certainly not on your side here.

There should be lessons to be learned from how rapidly opinions formed in that thread were engulfed in flames. Historical odds dictate this could be a throwing poo at the wall effort for some time despite optimism for whomever the next reclamation project may be. Move forward with a certain threshold of detachment and retain some credibility and more importantly your sanity.

I was wrong about Herbert. CMC is the best slot WR in the NFL. That's the thing, when you're actually willing to voice an opinion sometimes you're going to be wrong. When you're a homer glasses wearing sheep you just have a better excuse for your even higher percentage of being wrong.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
