Value vs. expectation.  The draft is deep on the OL, but we are looking for starters and while you can surely get some quality depth later in the draft, it is unrealistic to think they could turn into starters.  Thus good value, but unrealistic expectation.

I don't think it's unrealistic to expect a starter in the second round in general, much less the top of the second or end of the first.

When people say it's a "deep draft" at a particular position, they are talking about guys who have a good shot at turning into starters.

That's so true, but he was blown up because of the line, and that should be their priority. Cinci would be making a Jerry Jones move if they pick Chase!

But if they believe they can get a starting tackle at 37 then they could take the best wideout and still protect their franchise QB.

So you would take Sewell over Pitts if they are both sitting there that's crazy

I love pitts... he is who I want in my mind.. but in my heart I know we need sewell more so. Hes generational in terms of tackles and is only 20. He is the Pitts of tackles. We keep replaces tackles every season. End the struggle at LT.

You don’t want a position that we haven’t had since Jordan gross ? Especially when this kid is once in a life time left tackle and is only 20 years old . I hope he falls to us this guy is the best I ever seen I’d even take him over pitts you and can’t pass him up whoever is on the board . He should be going #1

You can find those in the second or third round it's deep with offensive lineman you guys are nuts

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
