Well i guess you kind of have to have one and if your current one is somehow headed out the door might as well draft one late that you considered the very best.

naw, you can get a sufficient LS in undrafted FA

we passed up one of the best IOL prospects in Trey Smith for a LS when our OL needs improvement

Isn’t there something restricting teams from talking to undrafed free agents before the draft is over? Isn’t that how we and the Saints got into that mess with Tommy Stevens last year? If so, I’m afraid this video is going to bite us in the ass. Appears that Rhule has already been talking to Fletcher prior to selecting him.

He was drafted.

One of the best prospects in the 6th? Lol

If they wanted him they would have drafted him. It's obvious they didn't want him.

JJ just signed a 1 yr contract in March. Maybe the kid we drafted is for next year. Not sure what we are going to do. At least he was smart. Get good at a talent, makes a million a year, and get what many don't receive in the NFL, Fully vested retirement. Congrats dude and thank you for your amazing talent. Not 1 bad snap since season opener of 2010!!!

  • Panthers re-signed long snapper J.J. Jansen to a one-year deal.

Jansen, who was slated to become a free agent next week, will stay in Carolina, where he's played all 16 regular season games with the Panthers every season since 2009.

When Rhule asked if he was coming, Fletcher stated that he was trying to figure it out. Showed that they have been talking to each other. Rhule probably felt like another team could draft him, so he went ahead and took Fletcher. Rivera took the 2nd LS three spots later.

you are allowed to talk to draft prospects.

fletcher thought rhule was talking about undrafted fa, as he was def not expecting to be drafted in the 6th

You can talk to players before you draft them.

    • I'm not sure that in a fair QB competition that Young would beat out Jones.
    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high. Richardson's misses looked like they were maybe fixable with working on his footwork, release, etc. Josh Allen's misses looked like "ain't no way you're fixin' that poo, dude has a cannon equipped with no sights". LOL Huge props to the Bills for evaluating him as fixable and indeed fixing him.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently). Obviously there could be trades/ waiver claims/ FA signings.   Offense (25) QB (2): Bryce Young, Andy Dalton RB (3): Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle, Trevor Etienne TE (4): Tommy Tremble, JT Sanders, Mitchell Evans, James Mitchell WR (7): Tetoria McMillan, Xavier Legette, Adam Theilen, Jalen Coker, Hunter Renfrow, Jimmy Horn, Brycen Tremayne  OL (9): Ikem Ekwonu, Damien Lewis, Austin Corbett, Robert Hunt, Taylor Moton, Cade Mays, Chandler Zavala, Brady Christensen, Yosh Nijman    Defense (25) DL (6): Derrick Brown, Bobby Brown, Ashawn Robinson, Tershawn Wharton, Sam Roberts, Cam Jackson OLB (5): DJ Wonnum, Pat Jones, Nic Scourton, Princely Umanmielen, Thomas Incoom  ILB (5): Trevin Wallace, Christian Rozeboom, Krys Barnes, Jon Rattigen, Claudin Cherelus S (4): Trevon Moehrig, Demani Richardson, Lathan Ransom, Nick Scott  CB (5): Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson, Chau Smith-Wade, Corey Thornton, Shemar Bartholomew    ST (3): LS: JJ Jansen  P: Sam Martin  K: Matthew Wright    Would like to hear everyone's thoughts
